The international Business Machines Corporation is an American multinational informational technology company headquarted in New York And operates in over 170 countries worldwide.The  company was founded in  1911,in new York as the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company (CTR) which was later renamed as "International Business Machines" in 1924.The company basically deals with production and selling of computer hardware,middleware and software and provide hosting and consulting services in areas ranging from mainframe computers to nanotechnology.
